Age 71, of Burdett, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rita; children, Teresa “Terri” Swartwood of Burdett, Roger (Barbara) Swartwood of Burdett, Belinda (Carl) Bromka of Interlaken, and Matthew Swartwood of Watkins Glen; 8 grandchildren, Hilary, Makenzi, and Mitchell Swartwood, Alex, Christina and Nicole Bromka, and Tucker and Brian Swartwood. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, in Reynoldsville, NY on Saturday, March 31, from 3:30pm-5:00pm; with a memorial service following at 5:00pm; Rev. Michael Kelly officiating. Roger was a longtime member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. He was an avid baseball fan, hunter and family man. Roger retired after 23 years for Texas-Eastern, Inc. of Watkins Glen. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to his church or American Cancer Society.
