Age 70, of Odessa, NY, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Mason) Peppard. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in October. He is also survived by his children, Keith Peppard of Odessa, Rebecca Peppard (Jerry Newell) of Montour Falls, Evelyn (Don) Landmesser of Montour Falls, and Noel Lewis (Don Messersmith) of Alpine; brothers, Paul (Judy) Peppard of Tyrone, and Steven Peppard of Montour Falls; sister, Yvonne Peppard (Ron Rea) of Burdett; brother-in-law, Charles Mason of Lansing; special friend, Joyce States of Odessa; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Richard Chilbert II. Ron retired from Cargill Salt Company in Watkins Glen after 40 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the BPOE #1546 Elks Lodge in Watkins Glen and Montour Moose #426. According to his wishes, services will be private.
