Age 64, of 2700 Walt Gilbert Road, Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 12, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. According to his wishes, a gathering of friends and relatives, to celebrate his life, will be held at his home on Friday, April 18, 2008, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ron worked as a machine operator for International Salt and US Salt in Watkins Glen for 37 years; he was also a Union Stuart for several years. He owned and operated a dairy farm for 12 years on the Moreland-Beaver Dams Rd., and attended the Moreland Presbyterian Church. He joined the Montour Moose Club in 1977 and was a 30 year member. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda (Lamb) Wilson; and five children, daughter, Lorena Ensley (William Clark) of Watkins Glen, sons, Ronald Jr. (Carlotta) Wilson of Alpine, William Wilson of Watkins Glen, Mark Wilson of Watkins Glen, and Jerry Wilson of Watkins Glen; mother, Araminta Howe of Watkins Glen; and brother, Charles (Carol) Wilson, of Watkins Glen. He was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Wilson. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Connie Wilson of Jacksonville, NC; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Southern Tier Hospice or American Cancer Society. Memorial envelopes will be available at the home.
