Rudolph M. Ebner

Age 86, of Rock Stream, NY, passed away on March 22, 2010.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mildred; three daughters, Barbara Diedrichs of Burdett, Jean Carey of Interlaken, and Patricia Ebner of California; brother-in-law, Robert (wife Pat) Smith of Florida; three grandchildren, Karoline, Michael, and Rudy; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 2-4:30pm; a funeral service will immediately follow at 4:30pm; Rev. Derek VandeSlunt officiating. Burial with military honors will be held Monday at Bath National Cemetery in Bath at 2:00pm.

Rudy was born on 23rd Street in Manhattan, NY on September 13, 1923. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 at the age of 19, and served four years during WWII in the Asiatic and Pacific Theaters. Rudy worked as a plumber and contractor in Long Island and later Rock Stream. He loved gardening, growing magnificent vegetable gardens and flowers, and growing trees in the old coffee cans to give away as gifts. He will be missed especially by his loving wife, whom he loved dearly.
