Sandra L. “Sandy” Dalrymple
Age 69, of Valois, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, November 20, 2010. Sandy was born in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Merle and Virginia Elliott. She was the owner and operator of Anchor Acre Farms in Hector, NY. Sandy was a member of the Hector Presbyterian Church, and supported and volunteered over the years with many groups, charities and organizations, including Labor of Love, Live Like Liz, Schuyler Outreach, Seneca Santa and Arctic League.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life and soul mate, the late Edward C. Dalrymple. She was also predeceased by her sister, Lindy Bond and brother, Jack Elliott, brother-in-law, Dr. Bill Miles, and loyal companion, her dog, “Tootsie.”
She is survived by her loving family; children, Deb Schmidt (Gary) of Watkins Glen, Bonnie Specchio (Mark) of Watkins Glen, William “Billy” Yaw of Valois, Jackie Yaw Leszyk (Mark) of Watkins Glen, Edward Dalrymple Jr. (Cathy) of Virginia, Vicki Schmael (Guy) of Hector, Pam Dalrymple (Jim Shaw) of Hammondsport, Bill Dalrymple (Shelly) of Lodi, Nancy Barrick of Watkins Glen, Donnie Dalrymple (Anita Dvornicky) of Hector; brother, Larry Elliott of Palm Desert, CA, sister-in-law Carol Miles, of Elmira; brother-in-law Doug (Marilyn) Dalrymple of Elmira; grandchildren, Eric Schmidt, Lindsay Schmidt, Mark (Klena) Specchio, Matt Specchio, Cas”Sandra” Wait, Danielle Leszyk , Cassidy Yaw, Tai Givin, Erin Givin, John Clawson; great-granddaughters, Briana Specchio, and Kaylee Yaw; and numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews whom she loved very much; and her loving companions--dog, “Eddy” and cat, “Kaylee.”
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Friday, November 26, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm; a funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 11:00am at the Hector Presbyterian Church in Hector, NY. Burial will be at the Hector Presbyterian Cemetery following services.
