Sarah Stahley (Watson) Gallow 

HECTOR-born on November 26, 1988, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home in Hector, New York, on November 30, 2024, at the age of 36. 

Sarah was a beacon of joy, known for her ability to make people smile and feel welcome. Raised in the Corning-Painted Post School District, Sarah graduated with honors and was a proud captain of the girls' lacrosse team. She pursued higher education at the University of Buffalo in New York, where she further developed her passion for connecting with others. Sarah's career in hospitality allowed her to touch many lives in the Watkins Glen area. She worked at the Village Offices, the Harbor Hotel, and the Red Newt Winery, where her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who met her. Her love for family pets was well-known, and she cherished her time spent with them. Sarah also had a deep appreciation for music, fashion, cooking, and nature. Her best friend, Dana DiIorio, was a constant companion in her life, sharing countless cherished moments. 

Sarah is survived by her devoted husband, Brad Gallow of Hector, NY; her sister, Abby Watson, and brother-in-law, Brad Leiby of Dundee, NY; her brother Daniel Watson of Wayland, NY; her loving parents, Cynthia and Jim Watson of Saranac Lake, NY; mother-in-law, Melissa Gallow (Aaron) of Largo, FL; sister and brother-in-law Kaylin and Anthony Teed of Hector, NY; and nieces Leah and Mya Teed of Hector, NY. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. Preceding her in death were her beloved grandparents, James and Mary Stahley, Joe and Margaret Watson, uncles Alan Watson and Jay Watson, her cherished dogs, Maggie and Tilley, father-in-law Craig Gallow, and sister-in-law Allison Gallow. 

Sarah's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4TH St., Watkins Glen, on Saturday (Dec. 7th) from 11am-1pm; followed by a funeral service at 1pm; and burial following at Seneca Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Sarah to Humane Society of Schuyler County, PO Box 427, Montour Falls, NY 14865.
