Age 84, of Bradford, NY, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2021, while a resident of Fred & Harriett Taylor Health Center in Bath, NY.
A graveside burial service will be held Friday May 21, 2021 at 3:00pm at Union Cemetery of Hector, Burdett, NY.
Sylvia was born in Burdett, NY on January8, 1937, the daughter of Clarence “Earl” and Winifred Givin. She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, with whom she shared a birthday, though he was 2years her senior. Sylvia was an avid reader of books, had a particular love of Collies (especially her dear“ Fella”), appreciated the pageantry & melodrama of professional wrestling and the excitement of the NASCAR Cup Racing Series, and was always eager to enjoy a bite of peanut butter fudge.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Floyd Herrington; her parents; children Penny Wager, Bruce Wager, and Michiel Barr; grandson John Barr; brother Earl “Sonny” Givin; sister Flora Lott; and son-in-law Raymond Bailey. She is survived by her children Debra Bailey, Kevin (Meg) Wager, and Larry (Rebecca) Wager; 13 grandchildren; 18great-grandchildren; and nieces and a nephew.
