Age 26, of Watkins Glen, passed away January 16, 2021.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Friday (Jan. 22) from 3pm-6pm. A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family at their convenience. A committal graveside service will be held at 12:15pm on Saturday (Jan. 23) at Highland Cemetery, 4647 Jackson Hill Rd, Odessa.

He is survived by his parents, John and Brenda Rockwell; sister Sarah Rockwell of Watkins Glen; paternal grandmother Grace Rockwell of Odessa; aunts and uncles, Randy Rockwell of Elmira, Martin Seymour (Sherry Richards), John Seymour (Kathy Cleveland) and Ann (Walter) Lant, all of Horseheads, Gary (Susan) Seymour of Valatie, NY, Keith Seymour (Marjorie Seamon), Jean Seymour, and Nancy (Rick) Stratton, all of Horseheads; nieces and nephew, Ray, Bianca, and Briana; and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Rockwell; and maternal grandparents William and Beatrice Seymour.

Thomas was a graduate of both Watkins Glen High School and Corning Community College. He worked for the Village of Watkins Glen Waste Management services for the past year. Prior to that, he was a dedicated employee of the Blakemore’s family farm, Sleeper Ridge, for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to farm, hunt, fish and especially turkey hunt. Thomas was a member and officer of the Catherine Valley Long Spurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and enjoyed guiding local youth on their first turkey hunt. He was also a 20-year member of the New York Holstein Association, during which he enjoyed showing cattle and talking breeding. He also enjoyed going to cattle sales and auctions with his Uncle Walter. He and his dad enjoyed time together just tinkering on engines in the garage and working on projects around the farm. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
