Thomas K. Wise

Age 72, of Watkins Glen, NY, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at home. He was born August 15, 1948 in Bath, NY the son of Leland and Della Gilbert Wise. He was the co-owner and business partner of Brennan’s restaurant in Elmira, NY as well as chef and manager of many restaurant operations and businesses in the southern tier and Finger Lakes.

The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Saturday, December 12, from 1pm-3pm; followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by his Life Partner of 44 years, Bruce Brennan of Watkins Glen, NY, his brother-in-law, George Wessels, his niece Lisa Barrett (Steve) of Corning, NY; two nephews, Scott Wessels (Mona) of Smithfield, VA and Eric Wessels of Corning, NY. Great Nephews Peter Wessels, Christopher Barrett, Issek Pierce, Elijah Wessels and Justin Wessels. Great Nieces Brittany Wessels, Marissa Barrett, Morgan Wessels, Madison Wessels and Mckenzie Wessels and several great-great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Karol Wessels and niece Wendy Wessels.

Thom’s greatest love in life was sharing his family and love of great food with those he loved. Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so that each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry. Your part in Thom’s life has created a wonderful tapestry that we shall always cherish.
The love that you all have shared with Thom in his life has given peace to him in more ways than you can ever know. Please share in that peace with him. Please share small but so incredible acts of kindness with others in your life to share what Thom meant to me and family and others in his life.
