Tina (Canfield) Kent
Age 60, of Watkins Glen, passed away Friday October 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with ALS, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday (Oct. 26) from 5pm-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 33 E. First St., Corning, on Wednesday (Oct. 27) at 11:00am, masks are required at the church. Following the funeral, a committal service and burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Watkins Glen; followed by a reception.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Lee “Corky” Kent; daughters, Jaime, Jacqueline and Megan Canfield; all of Elmira; mother, Doris Ector; brothers, Charles (Laurie) Ector of Truxton, NY, Randy (Ellen) Ector of Lawrenceburg, IN, Steve (Lynn) Ector of Watkins Glen, and Joey (Megan) Ector of Stanwood, WA; two grandchildren, Ayda and Arlo; beloved dogs Tico and Cody; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends Debbie Corsaro, Sandra Graham, and Sandi Ceasar. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Ector.
Tina worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Schuyler Hospital for 21 years. She also worked at St. Josephs Hospital in Elmira and Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to The ALS Association, Upstate New York Chapter, 135 Old Cove Rd., Suite 213, Liverpool, NY 13090. The family wishes to thank the staff at Schuyler Ambulance, Care First and Schuyler Hospital for their exceptional care.
