Viola “Vi” Clara (Hanmer) Cleveland

Age 94, of Watkins Glen, NY passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility, Montour Falls, NY.

Friends are invited to call Friday, 6:00-8:00pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. Funeral services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be at Montour Cemetery.

Vi is survived by her sons, Jon (Pauline) Cleveland of Waverly, F. Richard (Anne) Cleveland of Montour Falls, and William Cleveland and Thomas Butch of Albany; grandchildren, Karen (Bill) McGrath, Barbara O’Brien, Judith (Cliff) Lott, Betsy Cleveland, Scott (Cheryl) Cleveland and Thomas Butch; great-grandchildren, Jamie Lott, Megan O’Brien, Maggie Lucero, Sean McGrath and Olivia Cleveland; and great-great-grandson Nicholas Jasionowski. She was predeceased by her husband Francis “Skip” Cleveland, daughter-in-law Nancy Cleveland, son-in-law Douglas Inks, grandson James O’Brien; and great-granddaughter Samantha Lott.

Vi was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a waitress for many years in Watkins Glen at Seneca Lodge, Stone’s Restaurant and Savard’s Family Restaurant. Her greatest joy was her family. Vi lived a long, full life with lots of love and surrounded by her family and friends.
